Who Won at UFC 290: Volkanovski vs. Rodriguez?

UFC 290 caps off 2023 International Fight Week from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, headlined by UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski, who defends his title against interim Champion Yair Rodriguez. Find all the results from UFC 290 below.

In the UFC 290 main event, Alexander Volkanovski will look to bounce back from his first loss in a decade against Mexican finisher Yair Rodriguez. Volkanovski suffered a close decision loss to UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev at UFC 284 in February, falling short of his goal to become a two-division UFC Champion. He now moves back down to Featherweight and will hope to maintain his place atop the division.

Rodriguez earnt his first undisputed title shot with a submission of Josh Emmett in the UFC 284 co-main event to claim the interim UFC Featherweight Championship. After winning The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America, Rodriguez emerged as one of the best prospects in the entire sport, with his dangerous striking style. After losing to former Champion Max Holloway in November 2021, Rodriguez bounced back with a TKO victory over Brian Ortega before beating Emmett for the interim title. He gets his shot at the undisputed Championship in the UFC 290 main event.

In the UFC 290 co-main event, UFC Flyweight Champion Brandon Moreno will look to solidify his spot atop the division against rising contender Alexandre Pantoja in what is essentially a trilogy bout. The two men have met twice previously, with Pantoja coming out victorious on TUF 24 and in the UFC. Five years since their last matchup, the two men meet again at UFC 290 as two of the best Flyweights in the world.
