The UFC’s final event for the year goes down on Sunday, 18 December (Australia) from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada with UFC Fight Night: Cannonier v Strickland. The Fight Night is headlined by a bout between top UFC Middleweight contenders, Jared Cannonier and Sean Strickland. The two men were slated to meet on October 15, before a Strickland injury caused the cancellation of the fight. The co-main event sees Arman Tsarukyan and Damir Ismagulov meet in a battle between rising prospects in the Lightweight Division.

Australian star Jake Matthews is also in action against Matthew Semelsberger. At only 28 years of age, Matthews has already been in the UFC for 8 years. Matthews is coming off of a career-best victory over Andre Fialho in June and looks to be entering into the prime of his career. Matthews will make his walk to the UFC Octagon around 10am (AEDT).
