The UFC 284 fight card is headlined by one of the biggest fights in UFC history, with current the number one pound-for-pound and UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski aiming to become a double-champ by taking on UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev for the Lightweight strap.

Volkanovski gets the opportunity to headline his home country PPV and cement his legacy as one of the greatest fighters of all time. Islam Makhachev, the Dagestani protege of Khabib Nurmagomedov, will defend the UFC Lightweight Championship for the first time after defeating Charles Oliveira at UFC 280.

In the co-main event, exciting strikers Yair Rodriguez and Josh Emmett battle for the Interim UFC Featherweight Championship. The winner of the fight will almost guaranteed be Alexander Volkanovski’s next opponent.
UFC 284 has faced several fight cancellations, with the most significant being a cancelled bout between Australian Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa. Kiwi Kai Kara-France was also set to feature at UFC 284 before an undisclosed injury.
The UFC 284 card still features some of Australia’s best prospects, including Jack Della Maddalena, Justin Tafa, Tyson Pedro and Joshua Culibao, among others.
