The UFC’s first PPV for 2023 takes place on Sunday, 22 January (Australia) from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with UFC 283. Brazilian legend and the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Glover Teixeira headlines his home country PPV against rising knockout artist Jamahal Hill for the Vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Championship.

In the co-main event, former UFC Flyweight Champion and current interim UFC Flyweight Champion Brandon Moreno will look to claim the undisputed title against current champion Deiveson Figueiredo. UFC 283 will see the two men meet for a UFC record fourth time marking the UFC’s first quadrilogy.

The card, as expected, features a slew of Brazil’s best fighters. Former Women’s Strawweight Champion Jessica Andrade, former title challenger Gilbert Burns, Johnny Walker, and Jailton Almeida are all in action.
In the featured prelim, MMA legend Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua, at 41 years of age, will make his final walk to the UFC octagon in his home country. Shogun is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Championship and the 2005 PRIDE Middleweight Grand Prix Champion.
