The ARES FC 18 main event was expected to feature a vacant ARES FC Middleweight Championship bout between Dana White’s Contender Series veteran Henrique Shiguemoto and undefeated Frenchman Virgil Augen, who is 5-0-0 in his less than two-year-long pro career. However, Shiguemoto missed weight, leading to the fight being made a non-title main card bout.

In the new ARES FC 18 main event, undefeated French prospects Alex Sola and Turpal Younousov vie for the vacant ARES FC Lightweight Championship. Following a decorated amateur career, Sola has made his name as one of France’s best prospects in both BRAVE CF and ARES FC. The brother of Bantamweight Champion Aboubakar Younousov, Turpal has finished all four of his pro wins inside two rounds.
The second title fight at ARES FC 18 takes place in the Women’s Bantamweight division in a rematch between veterans Gisele Moreira and Rizlen Zouak. Moreira has fought some of Brazil’s best female fighters across her long career and is riding a two-fight finish streak in ARES FC. Zouak has fought in ARES FC since 2021 and won her last bout against Iony Razafiarison via unanimous decision.
